Terms of Service
Last updated: October 5, 2026
These Terms govern your use of LayerForge 3D and purchases made through our store. By submitting a quote request, uploading a file, approving custom artwork, or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Custom manufacturing
LayerForge 3D provides made-to-order 3D printing and related custom services. Quotes may be generated automatically from model data and are subject to manufacturing review. We may decline, cancel, or request changes to a job that is unsafe, technically unsuitable, prohibited, infringes third-party rights, or cannot be produced reliably.
Customer-supplied files
You are responsible for ensuring that files, images, trademarks, characters, designs, and other content you submit are lawful for you to use and manufacture. By submitting content, you represent that you own it or have sufficient permission to use it for the requested service.
Design, dimensions, and fit
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, LayerForge 3D manufactures the geometry you provide. You are responsible for design suitability, dimensions, tolerances, clearances, fit, and intended use. Additive manufacturing has normal dimensional and cosmetic variation, including visible layer lines and minor surface differences.
Quotes and pricing
Automated quotes are based on available slicer output, selected material, quantity, machine time, and configured pricing assumptions. If a file is corrupted, materially different from what the quote engine interpreted, or requires unusual setup or finishing, we may contact you before production and may issue a revised quote.
Payments and production
Payment is due through the checkout methods offered by our store. Production generally begins only after payment and any required review or approval. Print-time estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Returns and refunds
Custom and personalized goods may be subject to different return rules than standard retail goods. Please review our Shipping & Returns page before ordering.
Prohibited content and uses
You may not use LayerForge 3D to request production of unlawful items, infringing content, prohibited weapons or weapon components, dangerous items, or anything that we reasonably determine we cannot safely or lawfully manufacture.
Intended use and safety
Unless expressly agreed in writing, parts are not certified for medical, aerospace, life-safety, food-contact, high-temperature, structural, pressure-bearing, electrical-safety, or other regulated or safety-critical applications. You are responsible for evaluating whether a printed part is appropriate for its intended use.
Intellectual property
LayerForge 3D retains ownership of its website, branding, software, workflow, and original business materials. You retain your rights in customer-supplied content, subject to the limited permission necessary for us and our service providers to process that content and fulfill your request.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LayerForge 3D is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use or misuse of a printed part, customer-provided design, or service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on the site at the time of your order will apply to that transaction unless applicable law requires otherwise.
